Patricia A. (Hayes) Plourde

Patricia Hayes Plourde, 91, passed away peacefully on October 6,2024.   

Born in Hartford, CT on September 23, 1933 to parents Edmund and Marie O’Connell Hayes. Pat graduated from Lee High School in 1951. She worked for banks in Pittsfield, Boston and Lee retiring from the Lee National Bank following a work history that stretched over 40 years. Throughout her life, she never failed to be an amazing example of faith, love and support for her family and friends. One of her favorite activities was baking cakes and breads for others. She was a Founding Member of the Lee Red Hats and thoroughly enjoyed all of the fun the members of the group shared.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Brenda Calvert (Clark) and grandson Cameron Calvert of Fayetteville, AR; and her sister, Mary Morrissey of Lee and her brother Edmund Hayes (Susan) of Naples FL. She is also survived by her nephew Patrick Hayes (Amy) of St Charles, IL; and her nieces Amy Hayes (Gary Levene) of San Francisco, CA, Melissa Pierce (Jon) of Aurora, CO, Kaitlin Reimann (Chris) of Lake Orion, MI and Jhayden Faeran, of Pittsfield, MA. She also leaves many grand nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Hayes.

Pat was a very spiritual person and a communicant of St Mary’s Church in Lee. She was a former member of the St Mary’s Sodality and St Mary’s Adoration Chapel prayer group. She also dedicated a considerable amount of time and effort supporting the Marion Fathers in Stockbridge.

Pat’s family would like to express their deep gratitude for all of the professional and compassionate care Pat received from employees and volunteers from Hospice Care in the Berkshires, Visiting Angels, Meals on Wheels, Lee Senior Center, Berkshire Place and Suburban Medical Center who have dedicated their skills to support Pat in her journey with cancer.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Main St., Lee, MA. Rev. Gary M. Dailey will be the celebrant.  Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held at St. Mary’s Church from 10:00 a.m. to the time of the service.
