Puspaben Patel of Lee, MA passed away the afternoon of October 23rd 2024.
Daughter of Vallabhbhai Patel and Maniben Patel. She was born in Aat Methia Falia Village of Navsari city in India in 1944. After marrying her husband Ranchhodbhai Patel in 1963, they moved to Zambia where their three boys were born and raised.
She with the family immigrated to the United States In 1978 to provide better life and opportunities for the family and children. That same year, they purchased the Sunset Motel in Lee, MA
Her hobbies included gardening, reading, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and chatting on the phone with many relatives and friends.
Puspa loved meeting new people, asking them about their lives, and always remembered the details they shared.
She was an excellent cook who could watch someone make a dish once and be able to replicate it perfectly. Her samosas were legendary with just the right amount of peas and potatoes or chicken and spices.
She became a U.S. citizen on March 4th 1987
Puspaben was predeceased by her husband on March 17th of 2024. She leaves behind her sons, Rajesh (Jacqueline) of Taunton, MA; Mahendra (Smita) of Parsippany, NJ; and Kiren Patel of Lee, MA. She leaves 3 grandchildren Jayna, Preya, and Amisha Patel.
She was also predeceased by her brother Maganbhai Patel of India and sister Dahiben Patel of England. She is survived by her brothers Vipinbhai Patel, Ramanbhai Patel and Pravinbhai Patel.
Per Puspaben’s request, there will be no calling hours. Private Hindu services were held followed by cremation.
