Robert “Hotsa” Crawford, 75, of Pleasant Street in Lee, died Sunday morning at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Hotsa was born on September 19, 1946, the son of Francis and Audrey Noll Crawford. He attended Lee Schools and graduated from Lee High School in 1964.
Hotsa served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to1970. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and retired from J.H. Maxymillian Construction Company. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a longtime member of the Lee Sportsman’s Association and enjoyed spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his wife, the former Joanne DiGrigoli, whom he married on November 14, 1970; One sister: Joan Weeden and her husband, Dan of Lee; One niece, Johnna DiGrigoli of Austin, TX.
Funeral Services for Robert “Hotsa” Crawford will be on Thursday at 10 AM at the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Lee. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4-6 PM at the Funeral Home. Friends wishing may make donations in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in c/o the Kelly Funeral Home 3 Main Street Lee, MA 01238.
