Ronald Tatro, 81, of Lee, died Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at BayState Medical Center.
Ronald was born December 1, 1939 in South Lee, the son of Roger L. and Gertrude Wilson Tatro. He was educated in the Lee schools.
Mr. Tatro married Joan Gilligan June 5, 1958.
Mr. Tatro worked as a mechanic for the Kimberly Clark Corporation for 34 years. Ron was also a special police officer for the Town of Lee for 30 years and a member of the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department for 30 years. Ron served in the U.S. Army and then in the Navy Reserves as a Seabee for 23 years.
Ron was an avid gun and car collector and enjoyed tinkering with each.
Besides his wife, Joan, he leaves behind his three daughters: Laura Tatro, Roxanne Renton and her husband, Tom, and Julie Tatro. He also leaves behind three grandchildren: Tyler, Alexandria and Michael Renton as well as his great-granddaughter, Mia Hersey. In addition, he leaves behind his sister, Sheila Chase and her husband, Wallace.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 4 – 6PM at the Kelly Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Friends of Renal Dialysis (FORD) in care of Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
Face masks and social distancing will be required for the Visiting Hours. We ask that people enter through the Main Street entrance in the front of the building and exit through our parking lot door.
