Walter "Toby" Brown

Walter “Toby” Brown, 62, passed away on September 2, 2022.  Toby was born on Flag Day in 1960 to the late James and Rose Donovan Brown.  He was raised in Lee, MA and was a graduate of Lee High School.  On July 6, 1984, he married the former Sharon L. Fromma who predeceased him in 2014.

Toby and his wife were longtime residents of Lee, MA and raised their children there. Throughout his life, he volunteered in the community and loved to umpire sporting events or could be heard on the sideline of his children and later his grandchildren’s sporting events.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.

Those left behind to cherish Toby’s memory are his three children: James Brown of Pittsfield, MA and two daughters; Amie Robinson of Williamsburg, VA; and Amanda Brown of Lee, MA, as well as six beloved grandchildren; Abigail and Alexis Robinson, Amaya and Chanze Brown, and Mason and “The Mayor” Jaxon Daley.  Toby is also survived by one brother, Steven Brown of Orange City, FL. 

Besides his parents and wife, Toby was also predeceased by siblings, James Brown and Martha Vilot.

Funeral and burial services will be private.  A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
