Walter R. Cooper
Obituary
Walter R. Cooper, age 75, of Pittsfield passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2023 at Berkshire Medical Center.
He was born in Pittsfield on May 19, 1947 to the late Frederick and Mary Jones Cooper. He grew up in West Stockbridge, MA and worked for over 30 years at the Mass Turnpike.
He was predeceased by his son, James T. Cooper and brothers, Andrew and Joel Cooper.
Walter is survived by his sons, Walter Cooper, Jr., and Erin (Heidi) Cooper and his grandchildren: Celina, Benjamin, Jacob and Lacey; his brother Wayne Cooper, sister Lorraine Losaw; sisters-in-law Ann and Louise Cooper and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be greatly missed.
A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lee High Boys Basketball Booster Club may be made in his honor in care of Kelly Funeral Home,3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
