William “Billy” Biasin, 66, died Sunday, September 8, 2024 at his home in Lee.
Born in Pittsfield, MA, the son of Ottavio “Spike” and Eileen Bienvenue Biasin, he was educated at Lee High School, where he graduated in 1975. He also attended Berkshire Community College where he took courses in environmental studies.
After graduation and while in college, he began working for his parents’ family business, Biasin Welding and Fabrication, where he continued to work as a skilled fabricator until October of 2012 when he was hired by Massachusetts Department of Transportation as a Welder/ Mechanic. Billy was an avid outdoorsman, spending time hunting, fishing and foraging for mushrooms with his sons Jared and Justin. He enjoyed his annual trips to the Salmon River in Pulaski, NY with his father, sons and friends. He was proud of his Italian Heritage and his family tradition of making homemade salami and sausage each year. He was a master Horticulturist, and enjoyed spending time taking care of his numerous gardens and trees.
Billy is survived by his two sons: Jared Biasin and Justin Biasin and Justin’s partner, Tracey Bassett, and their mother, Susan Biasin all of Lee; Step Daughters: Antonio and Dominique Antico of Waterbury, CT; Aunt Norma Kelly, Uncle Francis “Bobo” Biasin, Aunt Elizabeth Biasin , Aunt Alice Romeo, Uncle Donald “Pete” (Helen) Bienvenue, Aunt Linda (Ron) McGuirk, Aunt Gail (Bill) Glass and Aunt Mary Bienenvue. He also leaves his very close cousin, Cindy Burton and many other close cousins and friends. He was predeceased by both of his parents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting Hours will be on Thursday, September 12th at the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee from 4 – 6 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 13th at 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home.
