William "Woody" Wood

William “Woody” Wood, 60, died at his home on June 15, 2020. He was born February 24, 1960, in Fall River, MA to the late Frederick and Marian (Diamond) Wood. In 1963, the family moved to Lee, MA. He attended Lee schools and graduated from Lee High School in June of 1979. In July of 1979, he enlisted in the Air Force Reserves. He was called to active duty for Operation Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom, Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He retired as a Technical Sergeant in 2010 from the Air Force Reserves and continued on as a civilian worker.

Woody is survived by his step-mother, Sheila (Delphia) Wood, his brother, Robert (Toni) Wood, his step-brother, Shane Emerson and four sisters: Mary (Roy) Bienvenue, Kathleen(Vincent) Wood-Viglione, Eileen (Tom) Hoffman, and Ann (Mike) Wordelmann. He also leaves nephews and nieces: James and Nick Wood, Kevin, Jessica, and Jennifer Raftery, Erin Wood, Lauren and Tom Hoffman, and Mike and Jill Wordelmann.

He also leaves many friends that were more like family: Brian (Jodie) Tierney, Jamie Birge, George Inglis, John O’Donnell, Bruce Lorance, Bob (Vicky) Coons, just to name a few.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law, Paul Wood.

As per Woody’s wishes, there will be no services. Friends and family wishing to make a contribution may raise a glass to him and remember the good times shared with him.
